Purpose

D.O.M. is a Christian multi-confessional ecosystem open to Christians and to other people who respect its Christian character and these Rules.

Participation must be lawful, respectful and consistent with the safety and dignity of other people.

Respectful religious discussion

Users may discuss theology, doctrine, denominations, worship and religious practice, including disagreement between Christian traditions.

Users must not threaten, harass, humiliate, dehumanize or target another person because of religion, denomination, belief, unbelief or a decision to change or not change beliefs.

Invitations to a church, community or confession are permitted. Repeated unwanted solicitation, coercion, manipulation, mass messaging and pressure are prohibited.

Safety and dignity

Users must not:

  • threaten violence or encourage harm
  • harass, stalk, intimidate or organize targeted abuse
  • exploit children or vulnerable persons
  • publish sexual exploitation material or non-consensual intimate content
  • share another person’s private identifying information without authorization
  • encourage self-harm, trafficking or other serious abuse
  • use D.O.M. to arrange or conceal unlawful conduct

Children and vulnerable persons

Sexual interaction with minors, grooming, sexualized communication directed at minors and any material depicting child sexual exploitation are prohibited.

Suspected immediate danger, child exploitation or trafficking should be reported through the Illegal Content form. Emergency services should be contacted where immediate intervention is required.

Identity and religious authority

Users must not impersonate another person, clergy member, church or organization.

False claims of ordination, clerical status, church affiliation, authority to represent an organization or verification are prohibited.

Verification by D.O.M. is limited and does not guarantee theology, conduct, authority or continuing good standing.

Content and communications

Users are responsible for publications, comments, messages, files, events and other content they submit.

Spam, phishing, malware, unauthorized scraping, fraudulent links, repetitive unwanted messages and attempts to bypass security or moderation are prohibited.

These Rules apply to private messages when a participant reports them or when review is necessary to address safety, exploitation, fraud or unlawful conduct.

Political discussion

Political discussion is permitted when lawful and relevant to community participation.

Threats, extremist recruitment, coordinated manipulation, deceptive political advertising, mass agitation and use of religion to coerce political support are prohibited.

Fundraising and donations

D.O.M. may organize fundraising, charitable campaigns and donation initiatives. Users, churches and organizations may also conduct lawful fundraising through functions made available by D.O.M.

Fundraising must accurately identify its organizer, purpose and intended use of funds. Fraud, diversion of funds, pressure, false urgency and promises of guaranteed spiritual outcomes in exchange for money are prohibited.

A donation does not purchase religious status, forgiveness, pastoral priority or a guaranteed spiritual result.

Sexual and graphic content

Pornography, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material and content designed primarily for sexual stimulation are prohibited.

Educational, historical, medical, artistic or newsworthy material may be considered in context, with appropriate limitations where needed.

Enforcement

D.O.M. may warn users, restrict visibility, remove content, limit functions, suspend accounts, terminate accounts or remove verification.

The response depends on severity, context, risk, intent, repetition and applicable law.

Reports and appeals are handled under the Content Moderation and Appeals document. Allegedly illegal material should be reported through the Report Illegal Content page.
